Madhya Pradesh Police is recruiting 7500 constables this year. The Madhya Pradesh Karmchari Chayan Mandal, Bhopal (MPESB), is conducting the process on behalf of the Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department.

MP Police GD 2026 Selection Process

Candidates must clear multiple stages of selection, starting with the written examination and progressing through physical and verification stages:

1. Written Examination: the online written exam, conducted by MP ESB. Marks from this stage are combined with the Physical Efficiency Test to build the merit list.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): candidates who clear the written exam cut off percentile are called for the 800 metre race, long jump and shot put, conducted by the Police Department. A minimum of 30 out of 100 is required here, and these marks are also combined into the merit list.

3. Physical Standard Test (PST): height and, for male candidates, chest measurement are checked against the standard for the post applied for. No relaxation is given here at any level.

4. Document Verification: original certificates, educational documents, and category or domicile certificates are checked. A candidate found ineligible at this stage is not selected, even after clearing the written exam and PET.

5. Medical Examination: conducted by the District Medical Board, checking vision, knock knee, flat foot, and any physical disability.

MP Police GD 2026 Exam Day Instructions

Before appearing for the examination, candidates should carefully review the reporting requirements, mandatory documents, prohibited items, and other important instructions listed below:

• Candidates are allowed entry into the exam centre only until the fixed reporting time. Anyone arriving after that is not allowed entry.

• Bring the downloaded admit card, a ball point pen, and an original photo identity proof. Accepted photo IDs are a voter ID card, PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving licence, or passport. A printed e-Aadhaar is valid only if it has been verified by UIDAI.

• The following items are completely prohibited inside the exam room: mobile phones, scientific or programmable calculators, log tables, watch alarms, listening or paging devices, recording devices, protectors, compasses, scales, digital watches, sunglasses, whiteners, and any other electronic device.

• Shouting, talking, whispering, gesturing to, or contacting another candidate during the exam is not allowed.

• Once the exam begins, no candidate is allowed to leave the exam room until the exam ends.

MP Police Constable GD Admit Card 2026

The admit card, called the Test Admit Card (TAC), is downloaded from esb.mp.gov.in using the application number, it is not sent by post. It carries the candidate's exam and centre details plus their photo ID details, and during the exam the candidate signs it, gives a left thumb impression, and writes a handwriting sample on it in front of the invigilator.

No correction is possible once it's issued; an error at this stage means the Board can cancel, reject or modify the application itself.
